Skirmish A slang term, which has evolved in the Airsoft community to describe larger mock battles, which take place in large fields or designated areas of play. Also called war gaming, teams compete against each other with speed and tactics similar to actual military battles.
Slide The main moving section of an automatic gun. The slide is the part of the gun that lifts the bullet or BB from the magazine and places it into the breech and fires it. The slide can be the top half of a semi-automatic pistol that is visible, but can also be hidden inside the gun such as in assault rifles and SMGS. When the slide is hidden and inaccessible, a bolt is connected to the slide which protrudes outside the weapons body. This bolt allows the shooter to manually manipulate the slide as desired.
