PP (Polizei Pistole) The acronym used for Polizei Pistole. German for Police Pistol, this is a famous real-steel firearm made by Walthr Works a firearm manufacturer in Germany.

PPK (Polizei Pistole Kurz) German for Short Police Pistol, this is a shortened version of the Walthr PP, and differs from it only in size. The size difference is a shorter barrel and grip. The Airsoft Elite PPK Co2 is a replica of this weapon.

Recoil The sharp “kick” or jolt that one feels when a gun is fired and bounces backward after a shot.

Regen Short for a regenerative game. An aspect of an Airsoft “skirmish” that allows a player to regenerate or return to the game after being hit. Often the player is required to sit out for a period of time or ask to drop back in position.

RIS (Rail Interface System) This is a track system that can be attached to most military and Airsoft guns. These rails allow different accessories to be attached to them in a manner of seconds. A set of RIS rails is an essential necessity for most Airsoft guns.
