THE “MIL-SIM” (MILITARY SIMULATION)

The Mil-Sim is an Airsoft skirmish combined with additional features that emphasize the military aspect of play. These games are more serious and require a more experienced, controlled approached. They involve live action role-playing elements with multiple missions to be carried out. The mission objectives of each team often interfere with each other creating the war zone conflict. One Mil-Sim game can involve an entire weekend of time. The game continues to be played during the night hours, re-enforcing the combat like conditions.

Some of the Mil-Sim features include:

• Respawning: This is when an eliminated player runs to a designated base and then is allowed to return to play.

• Medics: selecting one or two team players to as act as medics in to respawn dead teammates.

• Respawn limits: establishing how many times a player can return to the game.

• Ammo limits: The amount of ammo is limited for each player, team, base, or round. This is to be established before the start of each game.

• Weapon hits: A player must change his weapon if it is struck to a sidearm.

• Immortals: player characters that cannot die or can only die a certain way.
